Week 4 Post A

I chose to compare Sprouts and Cream of the Crop Natural.

The two companies appear to be targeting the same type of customer but Cream of the Crop Natural has a much more local feel. Sprouts has a wide appeal of folks wanting to access a larger birth of high quality natural food but Cream of the Crop hones in on local products and store specific features. The obvious differences in the two websites are that Sprouts is much slicker with a more advanced UX where as Cream of the Crop is still easy to navigate and "pretty" but much less flashy.

There's absolutely crossover between the two audiences. Both companies tout a focus on natural and better-for-you foods (at a high price point!). Cream of the Crop appears to have a more curated selection while Sprouts has a more comprehensive food and health product offering.

The design itself differs in a few ways. Sprouts appears much sleeker abnd more vibrant. It has a corporate feel. Cream of the Crop is more community-focused and personalized, down to highlighting specific local farmers and businesses.

The Calls to Action are more dialed in on Cream of the Crop. They have subpages about their turkey selection and clear directions to their in store locations. Sprouts on the other hand encourages customers to join their loyalty program, shop virtually and pick up orders, and click relevant coupons.
