Week 8 Part A: Your Instagram Hashtag Use

For this week's assignment I used a core base of Instagram hashtags on all three of my posts but added a few different ones in each post as an experiment.

I found the hashtags that I used on a variety of different recreational therapy related instagrams and also some general holistic wellness pages. I also used a few location specific tags. I created #alifeworthlivingrectherapy to use for the business. 

I added two of my posts in the evening and one in the morning. I did not see a significant difference in engagement with time and date changes. If I were to postulate I would think that the best times to post for my business if I were to actually be seeking out followers and customers would be early in the morning on the weekdays (most common time for collaborators to be posting) and evening time (most common time for people surfing their for you page).

I learned that content is actually quite time consuming to make! I'm sure if I were to be promoting an actual business that I would have a stronger ethos behind the work that would provide a clearer blueprint for brand strategy and posting schedule.
