Week 11 Part B: Marketing with Other Social Media/Tools

For this assignment I reviewed blogposts from Coco, Julia, Aleida and Matthew. All of them really dialed in on AI but in different ways.

Julia looked at AI through an artist's lens. I really enjoyed learning about the ways that AI can enhance and enable artist's creativity instead of replace it. I feel like the discourse around art and AI is largely negative so it was really refreshing to consider how AI can be a tool to make better art more efficiently. I liked how Julia spoke about the ethical considerations of art and AI, particularly regarding training AI tools to not just replicate or remix existing human artist's work.

Coco focused on branding and marketing with AI and discussed specific tools that are helpful for creating visual content. I had not heard of these tools so I enjoyed learning about them. It was interesting to consider Coco's points about originality of content creation and challenges that AI could pose. Coco has been a content creator for some time so I would imagine she is speaking from experience.

Aleida really focused on using AI as admin and customer service tools for her business. I thought it was a great use of AI for this type of business. Scheduling can be such a time suck and AI can take the effort out of that for the owners and for customers. I also liked her ideas about AI's role in personalization for her audience. I never considered that birthday offers and communications are automatically generated in this way which is silly of me!

Matthew focused on using AI as a tool to generate marketing materials which resonated with me. This would be what I would focus on in my own business. He also mentioned having AI create slime recipes which is so clever! It inspired me to use AI to generate a lesson plan for my students this week.
